Briana Vu, AINS, AIS, ARM, CPCU is currently an underwriter at the United States Liability Insurance Group (USLI) specializing in commercial property and casualty. Prior to joining USLI, she has worked at Marsh USA and the Walt Disney Company. A graduate from the California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Business Administration and a double concentration in Finance and Accounting, Briana was an active leader and member of Gamma Iota Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, Relay for Life (American Cancer Society), Finance Association, Business Inter Club Council, the Business Honors Program, and the University Honors Program. In her spare time, Briana likes to watch Korean dramas and try out new places to eat.

She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a BA in Business Administration concentrating in Risk Management and Insurance. In her spare time, she likes trying out new restaurants, enjoying unique foods, and writing critical reviews on Yelp.

Maribel Barranco is currently a Senior Underwriter at Chubb in the Commercial Middle Market P&C division. Prior to Chubb, she worked at Travelers, where she underwent the underwriter training program and later joined the National Programs division. After working in the National Programs division for several years, Maribel decided to move into commercial lines and joined the Travelers Middle Market Commercial Accounts division as an Account Executive. Maribel graduated from California State University of Long Beach with a BS in Business Administration concentrating in supply chain management, business management, and human resources. During her college summer and winters, Maribel interned at Travelers as a underwriting trainee. In her spare time, she likes to road trip to new cities, spend time with friends and family, go to the beach, travel, hike and try adventurous foods.

Jesse Jorgensen is currently a technology and life sciences production underwriter at Chubb Insurance. Jesse has spent the last 6.5 years in the Insurance industry mostly in the Technology and Life Science space. He moved to Southern California with Chubb 2.5 years ago. Jesse was a 2019 Circle of Excellence Honoree. In his spare time he likes to stay active by running on the beach, playing volleyball, and hanging out with friends.

James Cruz is an independent retail insurance broker based in Irvine. His agency, James Cruz Insurance Agency, was established at the beginning of 2017, operating in both personal and commercial lines. Prior to that, he was a Farmers Insurance agent for 5 years. In his spare time, he likes to learn new things and spend time with friends and family.

Vice President of Sponsorship & Events
Vadim Veksler is currently a Senior Claims Technical Specialist with QBE North America, handling complex casualty and construction defect matters across multiple jurisdictions. His insured's range from multi-property general contractors to subcontractors to material providers. Prior to joining QBE, Mr. Veksler was a Unit Manager, Complex Casualty Claims, for a small, regional TPA. Mr. Veksler finds himself back in the carrier world, as the bulk of his claim experience is from this perspective. Mr. Veksler held two positions at AIG. First as in-house Trial Counsel and then within the claims department. Claims management is actually Mr. Veksler's second career. He engaged in the practice of law for over 14 years wherein he represented general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals. He is licensed to practice law in California, Nevada, and Florida. Additionally, he represented insurance carriers in coverage litigation matters. Mr. Veksler has spoken at various professional conferences, ranging from CLM's Construction Conference (2018 and 2019) and West Coast Casualty's Construction Defect Conference (2019) to the Orange County Bar Association's Construction Conference. He has spoken on such topics as risk transfer, right to repair statutes, and Mediation strategies He has considerable expertise in risk transfer techniques, coverage, and litigation management.

His current duties involve managing a book of business in the Orange County and Los Angeles County area, working with key partners such as Aon, Arthur J. Gallagher and Marsh & McLennan. Prior to joining Chubb, Kyle also held Underwriting positions within the Property & Casualty sector, spending time with both Allianz and Liberty Mutual Insurance. His expertise within the insurance industry spans from multiple product lines, including Cyber, Professional Liability, Property, General Liability, and Multinational, with an emphasis in working on Middle Market and National sized accounts.
